Certified Construction Internal Quality Auditor ISO 9001

A strategic auditor capable of mitigating risks, optimizing resources, and ensuring total quality in every phase of the project.

The Construction Quality Internal Auditor (CQ-I) is an analytical, objective, and proactive professional who implements the guidelines of ISO 9001:2015 and evaluates the effectiveness of the Quality Management System (QMS), adapting it to the variability and immediacy of building projects. This ensures rigorous control over structural processes, materials, machinery, and subcontractors. Simultaneously, through the technical application of ISO 19011:2018, the auditor masters the methodological guidelines for planning, executing, and documenting impartial audits (both on-site and administrative). This combination of standards allows them to transform documentary and on-site findings into opportunities for continuous improvement, preventing cost overruns due to rework and ensuring the satisfaction and safety of the end customer.

This module enables you to understand and interpret the requirements of the ISO 9001 standard as specifically applied to the characteristics, supply chains, and risks inherent in infrastructure and construction projects.

1.1. Interpretation of the standard: Leadership, planning, and resource management (personnel, equipment, and work environment).

1.2. Process-based approach and risk-based thinking applied to civil works.

1.3. Control of construction operations: Traceability of materials, testing, change management (as-built drawings), and subcontractor control.

1.4. Performance evaluation and continuous improvement methodologies in building construction.

Module 2
Methodology and Management of the ISO 19011 Audit Program

In this module, professionals will master the international guidelines for establishing, implementing, and managing an effective internal audit program that adapts to the changing pace and phases of a construction project.

2.1. Fundamental principles of auditing and types of evaluation in construction (field inspection vs. administrative review).

2.2. Audit program management: Establishing scope, objectives, and risk assessment of the program itself.

2.3. Profile, competencies, and technical evaluation of the audit team for infrastructure projects.

2.4. Strategic planning: Document preparation and design of specialized checklists for each work area.

Module 3
Treatment, Monitoring, and Operational Resilience

Practical on-site auditing techniques for gathering objective evidence, accurately categorizing findings, and ensuring the effective closure of nonconformities.

3.1. Conducting the audit: Opening meeting, interviewing site personnel, and visual review of physical evidence (pours, steel reinforcement, logbooks).

3.2. Identifying, writing, and categorizing findings: Conformities, Opportunities for Improvement, and Critical/Minor Nonconformities.

3.3. Preparing the final report: Clear and objective communication of results to project management and stakeholders.
